I agree with quicktree but there is no doubt you have stiffened the car up alot.
My chassis guy cut into the floor and put about 8" of connecter into the frame rails and welded them in.

Exactly how mine were done. Can't tell in your pictures but mine were notched a bit towards the back so that I wouldn't have to cut the floor. I'll have to take a few pics.

My stock suspension street car bent the drivers side door from a few years of street and track abuse.

I lucked out and found some 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 rec tubing that is pretty heavy 3/16" stuff. I didnt have to notch anything, I bent a slight bend into them to fit the car better. I just installed a set on a 73 cuda that were over 250 bucks from Magnumforce, and I can say these are WAY heavier, and they fit a lot better, I sisnt have any 1/4" gaps to deal with.

X2 - vertical height is much more important. But - it's done, that's the bottom line. If you actually get some wiggle, they can be improved considerably by patching an extra piece 1/2-way down the length on the bottom. A piece of 2-1/2" (to match your width) by 1" tall by 1/8" wall and 6" long is enough to help.

Im gonna look over them good in the AM to see if there if there is anything I can improve on.
You can start by doing something with the battery cable and fuel line.
