There were 2 Bagwell Convert Cudas. The first was originally owned by Alex Bowers, his brother Bob and a smaller share by me. It was driven by Terry Earwood and a couple of times by Wyman Barnett and sold to Steve Bagwell when I got drafted in 72. It held the SS/EA record in 72 as the Bowers Brothers Plymouth at, I think and 11.17. Kicjjade said earlier his was the only original Hemi Cuda Convert running at the time. Not true. The first Bagwell car was an original. 1 of 14 1970's. I even have photos somewhere of it in my college Homecoming parade before we put it on the track. Car came from Kelly Chry/Ply in Marietta, GA. $2400 in 1971. 6000 miles and already had a warranty engine.
It has been restored to an original 70 Hemi Cuda Convert which is what it started out as.
The second Bagwell car was a combination of a BIW and a wrecked car. It is the car tha Mike Bogina currently runs

Have to agree with that. I don't know of another that was an original 70 Hemi. After I wrote my response I got to thinking you might have meant 70. Sorry for the confusion.

Stewart,
I think that this is the car you were talking about. As for the Centolanza Cuda - don't know that it became a Bagwell car but Terry picked up the car in NJ according to Hemi John. Could have been picking it up for a Barnett customer?? It was a 70 converted to a 71 though. Which car had the roof cut off of it - was this the car that Mike has now - I would assume so as I have never heard of a B-I-W convertable. Bagwell did run a hardtop Cuda too.

Roof Chopped Convertible?

I read somewhere that the red on the roof was to disguise the fact it was roof chopped!

Burning the Sox & Martin car! The person who did that needs their balls removed so they can't breed, we do not want more of their kind on the loose!

Yes, thats the car. Don't think the Centolanzo car became a Bagwell car. The 2 above described converts were the only converts Bagwell had to my knowledge. Terry may have picked the car up for someone. At the peak Barnett Racecars had 35 customers running their Hemi Power. I can find out as I still work part time for Warren Barnett at the shop. I think Bagwell did have a hardtop that ran in SS/KA and some in B/SM but I was living out in Div 5 by then and didn't keep close tabs on the Barnett/Bagwell cars.
Ralph
The car Mike B has was never run as a hardtop, only as a convert.

Did Terry get a school bus in that deal too? If so that may be the car that went to John Livingston. Don't know if Terry/Steve ever ran it. Will be back at the shop Monday and ask Warren for more details.
