What's the best way to seal the external pickup to the pan? Looked around and couldn't find any post on this so I figured I ask.
Thanks

I have a single line external pickup that started to leak. I took it apart and installed a viton "O" ring on the inside of the pan were the fitting connects to the pickup. Tightened it all up with a little high temp silicone around the threads. Leak stopped. Just my solution.

I use silicone. I bought the DMI washer and O-ring kit, but it still leaked and I had to massage the washers b/c they didn't fit over the fittings.

Thanks. I don't think you can get the DMI kit anymore but hoping to get this installed without leaks. Anyone else have any ideas?

I use bulkhead fittings with washers. That seems to work the best.

What you need are thread sealing washers. P/N is 750-0002-7/8 (Parker) for size 10 bulkhead fittings.
