If and when the Keisler comes out they claim it will be a no cutting, bolt in application for 1500-2000 dollars less than the Passon 5-speed.

Would be nice if it worked for you. We used a version of waterglass on the farm years ago to prep eggs, and a gentleman that was an engineer for GM transmissions told me about them using it to seal their cases and other parts. Another version of it is what is poured down into the engines for the gov't car buyout deal. To be honest with you, I think it would solve your porosity problems, but I don't know the lifespan of it, as if would it breakdown after 5, 10, 20 years and start seeping. I see a lot of (automatic) transmissions that suddenly have issues that changing valve bodies, solenoids, etc. don't fix, so another core is prepped and used. I wonder if it is a case of the sealant breaking down resulting in an internal leak between oil passages. While that failure would be an easy to check situation for a manual trans case - a few block off plates and a dip tank - it is a hard diagnosis for an automatic with all its passages. Food for thought.

John, There was not a price increase. Cost is set to be $4295.00 including shifter mechanism and linkage. Thanks, Jamie
Thanks for the correction on that Jamie , I didn't have the time to go back looking for it , very reasonable price for what you are offering .
For anyone wanting to compare price on something somewhat comparable the Richmond Super Street 5 speed = $4,370.80. In comparable, I mean built in USA, good materials, etc. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RMG-7030518B/
And no, it is probably not a bolt in...

I have a Richmond 5-speed in my car and it's FAR from being a bolt-in transmission. Also add about $400 for a shifter and linkage, another $400 for a new longer driveshaft and turbo 400 yoke, entire new custom made crossmember and mount, cut and box your torsion bar crossmember, some sort of custom made speedo cable...the list goes on and on and if you can't do all the fabrication and welding yourself I would charge at least $600 to do the swap Now take all that into consideration when weighing your "OPTIONS" for a 5 speed Jamie has created the ONLY true bolt in 5-speed Now all I have to do is save up a few grand more and I will enter the list to get one if there are any left Gus

Yep, that was kind of my point. What I was also trying to illustrate was that for the hardware the price was in line with a competitive unit. The new Richmond 5 speed OD transmission has similar features, good materials, made in the USA and a similar price. Of course then you are back to the same old problem of getting a bellhousing, clutch, driveshaft, etc. to work PLUS cutting up your car.
