The little bit I've seen online about this transmission was that it was suppose to be a "direct fit", as in not having to modify the cars panels to get it to work.
Look above at what JohnRR said, he's right, there looks to be an obvious interferance area unless something fairly significant changes. Besides, with Jamies trans you've got Jamie to deal with direct, not some no name saleman for a big company, not to mention Jamie's looks more original and will probably be stronger. No brainer decision IMO.

I guess time will tell. I am not disagreeing, however if it's being marketed as a direct fit / no modification necessary piece, I would have thought they'd install it in a few different cars of each chassis to double check. I doubt I'll afford either one, but it sure is nice they will be available. After they are tried and proven a bit I'll likely sell off some of my extra stuff and get one (maybe two?). The thought of 4.30:1 rear gears and still being able to cruise down the highway sure is mouth watering.

This new transmission takes these old cars to a whole new level. There should be no doubt as to the DIRECT fit and finish of this product. It should take about 2 hours if you have an 18 spline in the car already. Do that with a tremec or some other illegitimate variant If you don't know by now...I am very picky of what hardware I put on my car as it goes very fast on the roadcourse.[55 - 130 mph] Speed will hurt or worse kill you if you are not respectful of it. A bad transmission will spin you faster than you can imagine-I rode out a spinout thru the "bus stop or inner loop" at Watkins Glen in a 66 mustang track car [race car] who trans failed at about 110 mph. I was the willing passenger...I have to have hardware I can trust so I can survive my yearly driving experience. I do annual drag strip runs as well to check mph and hard straight-line performance. Tire spins and everything. 12.20-12.80 @113 mph, 3450 lbs with driver I currently have an Passon Aluminum over drive 4 speed in my pos and it has worked...flawlessy. Before the OD 4sp I had a Passon aluminum 2.66 1st gear 4 speed. Before that I had a Passon iron case 2.66 1st gear 4sp. Before Jamie Passon I had 4 speeds that made noise and vibrated the shifter handle and car. I am now closing in on a 100,000 miles of 4 speeds...now all I get is a big smile. We are talking a lot of regular miles on all of these transmissions and a whole bunch of laps at the "glen". If a more detailed endorsement is required I have on record [log book] of how many miles of road & track the Passon products have seen. Of course the info will cost money as not everything is free including transmissions from Jamie. I await the next generation transmission from Jamie like a kid on christmas eve.

Those other guys are also coming out with a new 5 speed that's made in house, I think it's called an RS 600.
So hopefully we will have hopefully 3 to choose from!

O.K., Some pricing information. After MUCH back and forth, figuring, refiguring and trying to trim where we could without sacrificing quality, we are looking at $4295.00 for a retail price on the unit.
Now, I want to explain a little about this. This cost will cover the transmission, shifter, shifter linkage, mount plate and speedometer cable extension. This is all that is needed. Any other parts if you are switching an auto car, we can provide, but they are not needed, so therefore we didn't include them.
Please keep in mind that this unit is Made in USA. It was designed here, and is being built here by mopar people that are deicated to bringing you the highest quality parts possible. It is without doubt a premium driveline piece. All gears and shafts are made from aircraft quality 9310 alloy steel. Unfortunately, this costs money. Believe me, We are being as fair as we can on this, considering this will bolt in as it is supposed to and you are not going to have to cut your car up.
I await any further questions. Thanks, Jamie
