Not to bust your bubble Jeff, but I see a problem....maybe. That is the same transmission I run. They forgot to put the "spacer" between the bellhousing and trans case on mine. They made a run of sb mopar bells that were to short and they make it up with a spacer. Now, maybe you have a newer bellhousing since they said they would correct it at their next run of castings. Just check it out....caused me some grief and took lots of measurements to find out it was not my mistake. ATI kept saying I didn't have the coverter in all the w
ay.

Thats hilarious, I delt with them over this same issue over 2yrs ago. The very first "adapter" is currently on my car. You would think they would have a clue by now

Mine showed up just like the picture Jeff posted....no spacer. I about tore my hair out trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. With the spacer it went without a hitch.

The issue with Lowbudgets car and a few others was ATI cast their small block mopar bellhousings for the powerglide supercase 3/4" too short. Took me 3 months of back and forth with ATI until they finally listened to me and rechecked there measurements and realized it was too short. So they fabbed up a 3/4" spacer between the bellhousing and the case to fix the issue. They haven't made a new run of those bellhousings yet that I know of, because im supposed to be getting one when they do. They want to sell all the short ones before they make new ones and its not like SBM to powerglide bellhousings are something they sell alot of.

dont how yours worked unless your running a midplate of some sort. Without the spacer I couldn't even get the bellhousing to mount up to the block with the converter in.

I agree. Maybe you can measure the total length of your bellhousing? If it fit (and there is no spacer between the bell and trans case) then they might have fixed them. I would like to have one without having to use a spacer....not sure ATI would be quick to let everyone know it is fixed and they are ready to hand out free bellhousings.

I'll have to give them a call and see. I figure a free bellhousing is the least they could do for me after doing their R&D work and figuring out the problem for them..lol

Thanks. I think my port work would be more effective if we could add a
3/4" bead of weld where the carburetor pad meets the runners.

Now thinking about a carbon fiber wing.
Pistons are ordered and engine has been mocked up and chassis has a new cert tag. I do not want to set out another year!
