noticed alot of blue smoke from exhaust pipe also could smell engine oil burning in cab. opened hood and noticed oil dripping from exhaust side of turbo at the clamp and on to exhaust pipe. does this mean that the oil seal is leaking? any other ideas?

typically yes, you'll likely find a frothing mess of oil in the tailpipe as well as a tell tale sign, this would be worse in severity if you are running without a cat'. and if your running a cat, she'll plug up quite quickly if left untreated.

I toasted the turbo seal in 94 Daytona by taking a hard fast 270-degree interstate ramp. Apparently on the oil went to the side of the pan and the pump sucked dry. Next thing I know - 007 style smoke screen. Luckily the cr was still under warranty. Found a tech note stating to run the oil 1/2 to 1 quart over-full for hard cornering.
