I have a forward manual valve body 904 and was wondering what's the best fluid to use? I've checked the levels while in neutral and running, and it has been reading add one pint, and after I added two pints, it still reads to add one pint? I'm thinking of draining the trans all the way and starting from scratch? What total capacity should it be, and what type should I be adding? The local Autostoned dude says Type-F??

I have a RMVB 904 and I use type F. As for the fluid level it should be the same if the pan is stock depth. Even with a deep pan the dipstick should read the same, it would just take more fluid to get to the add mark. After that it shouldn't matter. My deep TCI pan doesn't affect the amount needed to fill from the "add 1 pint" line.
