This is a motor home 727 (not sure if that makes a difference) and it was a few years ago, it did involve some mods had to grind a tab on the trans, but I can not remember what else I did, it was minor. This was when it was column shift car. It was a pain to get it off when I went to floor shifter. Somebody on www.bigblockdart.com would know for sure.

On the 904 the linkage that connects to the transmission that moves the selector into gear is adjustable with a threaded rod and screw.
The 727 has an square block that slides onto a shaft coming out of the trans and that block is what adjusts the gear selector.
