My cuda has manual brakes and I installed a new master cylinder, calipers, lines, hoses and wheel cylinders. But when I press the pedal in there is hardly any effort. I can actually push the pedal down with my hand pretty easily. Brakes were bled starting at the right rear and working to the front. Any ideas whats causing this.

spoon the linings out on the rear until they are locked solid them back them off until as you spin the wheels you have a slight bit of contact that you can HEAR but cannot FEEL. this is tough to do on the rear axle. Then bleed & rebleed until the air is all gone. Good Luck, brakes that wont bleed out can get under a persons skin like no other.

You say you started with the RR wheel.....

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder? If not, there is likely still air in it.

Doc.

I used to care but....... things have changed

I did a similar change, had the same problem. Finally, I went back over every fitting, found one that I got maybe just a little bit tighter, didn't leak any fluid out, but must have been letting air in. Just that little bit made all the difference.

I was told that I wouldn't have to bench bleed it since the entire system was dry with all the new parts. While bleeding though, I made sure the master cylinder never went dry.

that is exactly when the mc should be bled(1st) then the wheels. In your case there might not be air in the mc but since you are having a problem my suggestion would be to bleed the mc with a pair of short rubber lines & then proceed to the wheel cyls.
