Does anyone know what a 66 Barracuda's stock height of the front end is? Thanks

checked according to the procedure in the shop manual which is measuring the diff between the height of 1 "adjusting blade" on the LCA compared to the bottom of the lowest point (?) in the LBJ arm it's 2" + - 1/8". Myself I'd set it where it looks good to you (jounce each end b 4 each adjustment) then have it aligned

I'm with Robert on this one. The factory procedure accounted for all different tire heights and was probably fine for its day, but lower is better. I usually set up every a-body with about an inch between the LCA bumper and the frame. Then I make sure both sides are even by measuring from the frame to the LCA (taking into account that the bumpers may not be the same height). Then align with the maximum amount of positive caster you can get and a slight (1/2 degree) or negative camber.

Jim is that with OE rubber bumpers that you shoot for 1 inch? Some LCA bumpers in my recent kit were way different height than the ones that are on there (& shaped different). didn't pay attention exactly but I remembered the sustantial height diff. Is that what you meant in the last sentence I quoted (about the bumpers might not be the same height)? I'm missing something

Robert, I haven't messed much with aftermarket LCA bumpers, but I'd start there with either new or used. It's just about getting it close and then using something solid like the main arm of the LCA to get it even.
