Anyone know what vehicle (make, model, year, engine) that the Denso "ultra mini" 93mm alternator came on as OEM?
Thanks, Brian

FWIW,

I got the 102mm mini from like a 87-90-ish? Chevy Nova/Spectrum with the single groove steel V-belt pulley. Got it from the junkyard. Tested fine. It is the same physically as powermaster p/n 8122/8128 6.78 lbs. 102 mm. ( http://www.powermastermotorsports.co...ternators.html ) They are not one wire stock. But they have an internal regulator.

I have yet to install it or really spend time trying to figure out the fabrication of the brackets.

I think the 93mm might be an industrial application (forklift?)??

This came from this thread: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=83923

I'm looking at adapting one off of a Toyota brand forklift. An older one off of a 7 series model are rated at 37amps. My plan is install it on my drag race car.

I am using a Mitsu alt... You can see it here on my motor.. Maybe not as small as you want but is smaller than the oem ver.

Back to the ultra mini:

I've looked for awhile now and am thinking it is probably the Denso 100211-4200 or maybe the 100211-6960 (with one of the mounting lugs removed)....as seen on page 16 of this document:

http://www.dixie-electric.com/catalog/LiftTrucksExchange.pdf

To arrive at that I matched up 50A, the B+ stud location, and the appearance of the sheetmetal cover on the back of the alt. I can't see the connector.

it may well be one of the other ones, or a hybrid....take your pick I guess It appears to me to be a power equipment (tractor/skid steer/forklift) type alternator, not a car alternator unless it's a mighty small car.

But then I'm still using a 78 amp squareback, and have kept electrical accessories to a minimum because of it....so you might not want to listen to me
