Which is the proper Air Grabber canister for a 1970 Plymouth B Body and where exactly does it mount.

Does Engine size matter?

It's the first one and it mount on the passenger side firewall about a foot down on the firewall. I can measure it for you if you need it. Ronnie

It mounts on the firewall with the connections pointed toward the exzaust manifold. I don't have a way to get any pictures. Ronnie

Neither one. The one on the top is a std vacuum can that goes under the battery tray on 71 b-bodies it just has the one end of the bracket cut off from what I see. The correct one has a part #3441157 on the bracket. It has holes symetrically drilled at the ends of the flat bracket. I will post a pic in a minute....

Here are what I am talking about the one on the top is an assist can from under the battery tray of a 71 B-body and the other is an Air grabber mounting bracket. Hope this helps. In your first pic it appears the bent part of the bracket has just been cut-off....

I've sold a lot of these on ebay. It's a Trico vacuum cannister usually with a green marking on the face.

IIRC the firewall is dimpled where the cannister bolts. It's just a matter of locating those and drilling them. I believe it mounts with hex head screws with a 5/16 diameter and is also slotted.

Have you decided where you are going to run the vacuum hoses. There are 2 locations used. One is next to the regulator and the other is above the heater hoses which seems to make more sense. it is rather crowded when placed by the regulator.

Here's some not-too-good of shots I took of a gtx that been engineless since the mid 70's. I was actually taking pics of the emission lines & PB booster, wiring, etc., for a friend but got a few of the canister in there.
