Generally speaking...
For a car running low 10's in the 1/4, How much weight loss is needed per .1?

that's pretty close for a door car, 3,000 to 3600 lbs. It gets higher the faster you go. From 3,000 down to 2900 in the high 8s will get you .08 as an example.

8..603 156 mph best, 2905 lbs 549, indy 572-13, alky

Looking at some of the guys at the track this past weekend, some of them could easily pick up a half second if they hit the gym... it was amazing how huge some of those guys were

I agree with you Greg, but. The Top Sporstmen Dart I blew up does not agree with the lighter faster car part. At Cordova Tim went 7.35 @2355#s then we added 96#s to get to NHRA wieght and the car went 7.45

It also depends on where that weight is on the car…for example: I pulled the front bumper and brackets off my Barracuda (33lbs) and my car picked up a tenth. Most of that time was picked up in the 60’ due to better weight transfer. I haven’t tried it yet, but I would be willing to bet that if I pulled the back bumper off instead of the front, the gain would not be as much.

67 Barracuda street car, 408, e85, 1.38 60', 6.44 @105.9 in the 1/8 mile, 10.19 @130.5 in the 1/4...so far....

My Dakota would run 6.20's in the 8th mile and 9.70's in the 1/4. very next pass my buddy now current owner of the truck LOL Jumped in and made a pass. He's about 75 lbs lighter the truck picked up about a half a tenth overall
So its not exact, and diff combo's would vary. Im sure a high winding small block in a moderate heavy car would show diff gains than a 500 inch big block in the same car....JMO
