My single 4bbl, 850 Holley out ET'ed my Six Pack by 4 tenths. When you think about it, the Six Pack came off the line on the center 2bbl (300cfm) where the 850 came off with 850cfm.
I love the smell of Deer guts in the morning, it smells like... VICTORY!

If we are talking about a stock set-up, street driven, you can't beat the six pack for driveability (cold start, road manners, mpg, and power). The factory dual quad setups are cold natured and tend to use more fuel, wot is great however.
When you start talking about after market intakes, carb options etc; sure you can out perform stock set-ups, and loose drivability in exchange for performance "sometimes".
In stock trim I prefer the sixpack, I have two currently and plan on adding a third. I was also planning on adding a crossram setup but it was for a road trip car and I've been thinking twice with fuel cost what they are.
I get 16.5 mpg if I drive sane with 3:54s in my GTX. I have heard 11 mpg with the 440 crossram.

The Edelbrock 2x4 set up offers awesome performance and eye appeal at half the price of a six pack set up. A single four will make as much as or more power (RPM or Team G?) but c'mon, single 4bbl V8s are EVERYWHERE.

so. they could be on to something.
id go dual quad if i had to choose one or the other. a 4 bbl will win for most levels of play. ages 12 and up. batteries not included. run with adult supervision.

Edelbrock actually reccommends 2 600cfm carbs on the CH-28. On both my 440s I have used 2 500cfm carbs and it worked FANTASTIC. If a person already has a 600cfm Eddy carb I would buy one more and call it good. Alot of small block chevy guys run dual 600s on their eddy 2x4 set up and claim success. My 360 will run an OFFY 2x4 and dual 500s.

I would take the 2x4. I have the same. Run them the first season and I canīt be more happy. Tons of torque, great throttle response. 2x600cfm but still a little bit on the rich side. I wouldnīt use the bigger jets Edl delivers with the dual quad. I also do not like the comparison of the different intakes. The cam should be grinded to your specific needs. Mine is a solid flat tapped from Scott Brown. Awsome power! And cheaper then the 2x3. A friend of mine changed his 1x4 intake in his 68 charger to a 2x4 and he said it was like putting in another engine. Way better throttle response and awsome torque.

for a 541cui engine the ch-28 would be no good choice. and lots depends on the cam. i do not think you can compare 3 comlete different intakes with the same cam. they all have different "needs". it canīt be more different. a low rise dual quad and a tunnel ram. what about the torque?
