will my torque loss be noticable on my 440 when I switch from headers to 70 HP maniolds. Will it kill the response and power of the motor?

retune the carb for the manifolds and you should be fine. If it's a stock or mild engine the difference may be felt slightly but it won't be more than 15 or 20 ft/lbs.
