So im in a toss up, should i spend the money on rebuilding my stock heads or should i just find a set of aftermarket heads? Im trying to keep the budget to a minimum. Theyre going on a 77 440-3 with a performer rpm intake, summit 282/292 cam, crane valve springs,750cfm carb, headers, and an electronic ignition with msd coil. If it would make more sense to redo my heads, what valve size should i go with?

Myself I'd bite the bullet & go w some alum heads (stealths or eddys) & get a good system from the start. But here is some good info on porting stock iron heads courtesy of forphorty. http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/techarticles/5115 cylinder heads/index.html. There's 2 more pages in the article but the way I had to type this link to make it work it is only puling up 1 page of it but it'll get you started.
