How much power can the 340 replacement, non Siamese block handle? I'm looking to put a procharger on one, and was concerned about the durability.

That's me....the 340 replacement block is a tall deck non siamese R-3 block...about 50 lbs heavier than a standard 340 block....thicker decks, filled pan rails, 4- bolt mains, beefier cylinder walls....very beefy piece.

At about 1100 hp had a very slight bit of capwalk but was using the stock mopar bolts...switched out to ARP main studs now...hope this helps.

A bad tune can hurt anything!! Do you already have the block?

No I don't have the block, a friend has changed directions and offered it at a great price.

If its a new block make sure you have your machinist check the cam bearing bores and the lifter bores before it leaves after decking, boring, honing ect. I could not get the cam or lifters in mine without a lot of honing before assembly. Pain in the azz. Just my -Randy
