More of my bugs on the 70 RR. I have all new master cylinder, wheel cylinders and lines. I was driving the car and came home and parked it later I went to put it in the shop and my pedal went to the floor. I checked the fluid and the back are front brake part was empty. I have looked every where and there is not any leaks any where. Where could the fluid have went? I checked the master inside and out and all the wheel cylinders. Ronnie

It's non power brakes and I checked the inside of the master cylinder and it is dry. I checked the outside of the master cylinder and it is dry too. Could it have had air in it and just bled back into the master cylinder? Ronnie

Look on the firewall INSIDE the car , brake fluid doesn't mysteriously evaporate. You either have a HUGE leak which you would see under the car or it's under your carpet .

I looked inside under the carpet and there is none there, it is completely dry so I don't know. I checked all the wheel cylinders and they are dry too. I don't know what else to check. Ronnie

Maybe they weren't bled right in the 1st place, air in lines Bleed the brakes again, then top off the m/c, and see what happens.

I'll go with this one...You had air in the lines.....the air bled upwards and the fluid drained down to fill the void of the air-pockets.

That is what I'm thinking happened because it has not leaked any fluid any where. I have been over it from front to back bottom and top. Thanks Ronnie

I have a difficult time believing you wouldn't miss the lack of braking power with that much air in the lines. But as was said above, it didn't evaporate.

I know but I had almost a full pedal. We bled and bled them and I thought I had it all out. I have no ideal what happened because there isn't any leaks any where. I'll just drive it some and see what happens. I've had more little stuff happen on this car than any of my cars before. Ronnie

Yep, if it disappears again, I guess it's back to the drawing board...

You are going to drive the car with bad brakes? I wouldn't recommend that at all. Did you bench bleed the MC? If not I would start there, then bleed the rest of the system. If you're not finding any fluid then you have a system full of air.

Yes it was bench bled. I don't know how I will find out about it if I don't drive it and see if it happens again. I live in a very rural area so it won't be too bad. I have never had 1 do any thing like this before. I have done a lot of brakes before and have never had any thing like this happen. I could understand if there was a leak some where but there isn't. Ronnie

Is there any place the lines run through the frame or anywhere where there might be a pocket to hold the fluid and you can't see it? It seems if you had a leak serious enough to drain the fluid you could feel the pedal sinking with moderate pressure.

The lines don't go thru the frame any where. It had a good peddle for several days and didn't just happen all at once. I could feel the peddle changing a little each day not much but some. I'm hoping it just had some air in the system and it worked it's way out. Ronnie

Fill the master, bleed the brakes real well, then stomp hard on the brake pedal a coupla times. I bet you find a fitting leaking. No pedal because it happens while your driving?

Does your car have the torsion bar crossmember DELETE option ?

It would be difficult for the air to work it's way out of a sealed system. I'm guessing there is a leak somewhere you just have to find it.
