I say this everytime this question comes up but...Mancinis has the best plug chart anywhere and NGK #'s NGK is the best out there and that chart nails it for numbers that you can get at the local parts store anywhere OR AT MANCINIS

Can you give me a number to start with, or just run with the catalog number? Thanks for your time. Pat

Champion
NGK's are for honda's...
My 440 runs AWESOME with NGK plugs.
I just pulled the fouled Champion out of my lawnmower last weekend. The sad part is I am NOT joking...
That's because they were in a lawnmower. How dare you compare a well oiled machine like a Chrysler big block to a lawnmower....
Always had great service out of Champions. Just like anything else, you need t he right ones for your engine.

I've run Autolite in my engines 318/361/360/383/440 for the last 40 years with no problems.
I used Champion RJ12YC's for years in several 440 cars, and just thought that plug fouling was a normal thing. After switching to Autolite 85's I've never had a problem.

As others, I like NGK's the best. Just looking at them, you can tell that there high quality.
BTW, that looks like an interesting engine combo. Did you have to get custom pistons made? What car is it in?
Also, did you wire the Pertronix 3 conversion direct or run it through the ballast resister?

I agree, except the new ones are now made in china, don't know if the quality is still the same.

Yea, it's a little different. It's the original engine in a '66 Coronet 440, barn find, that sat since 1981. I picked it up last year and with my boys help, am in the process of putting it back on the road. I wanted to keep it as original as I could. Hate spending the money to stay 361, but everybody and their brother has a 440. I figured if I was going to go 361, I would at least stroke it a little. I am getting ready to order pistons, probably from someone on Moparts. That is why I was asking about the plugs, so I can do a proper CC on the heads before I order. I plan on running the Pertronix with no ballast, as I think they recommend that. I agree with you on NGK. They do look quality. I went on Mancinis to get the number. Thanks to all who responded. I love this place. Pat
