Generally they are installed in a "sandwich adaptor" which screws on the oil filter mount. The adaptor provides the tapped ports to and from the oil cooler. The filter screws onto the adaptor. The adaptor is "sandwiched" between the block and filter and spaces the filter out about an inch.

Check Summit or your favorite similar store for a selection of different types.

on my sb with stock oil cooler

it comes out of block atwhere the sending unit would be to the cooler

then back to oil pan thru a hollow fuel pump bolt to oil the t-chain and dump it all back in the front of the pan

the oil sending unit and oil pressure switch for the elect choke,is t-eed into the line down from the block comeing out

not sure if its the same on a BB,but you could see what an stock mopar BB oil cooler looks/hoooks up like maybe and follow it

IMHO you could run it off the same BB oil sender port...just have to figure the dump back to the pan

not sure if a feul pump is open to the pan like a sb

bb FP is on the block IIRC

jeez now I gotta go look
