I did the souvenir programs for the meets and I still have decals from the first four NHOA Nationals too. I'll start digging thru my archives and develop a little more of the story but it was in a room at the Holiday Inn at Indy 1984 when all 12 clubs were represented and we each kicked in $100 to seed the Columbus Mopar Nats- (still called the Chrysler Car Club Convention...)

More to come...
Hey Roland... General back-in-the-day stories would go well in this thread, but heavily political stories might take away from it. I would like to see you start a thread on bringing back the NHOA... politics and all. I noticed there seems to be some activity on the Trademark front... and HemiGreg's NHOA.cc link is gone.
BTW, I visited your "NHOA Archives"... how's sales for $1000 used yearbooks & $50 meet decals?

Man, all these photos remind me why I hate Kodak film and film camera's...Faded, hazy, fuzzy, pictures without real good color. Glad Kodak was right, digital photos will never replace crappy film pictures...HHHHAHahahahaha

ahh, but we dont know whats going to happen to our digital pics 20 years from now!
computers will be obsolete and youll have no way to view your disks of pictures assuming you put them on disks and didnt just leave them on your PC.

My phone has more memory than my PC now, so that's where I had them these days...I haven't used a CD in years.

This car is still sitting in the garage and looks the same as it did here. The original owner passed away probably 15 years ago, and his daughter has never done a thing to it. It's still an original paint car and he drove it year round till he passed. (yes, snow tires on magnums in the winter)
Restoring a car to look "only" as good as the factory made it is like getting a boob job for your wife and having the doctor make them two different sizes to seem more natural

Dart in Indy
Well I'll be danged! Just saw a picture of my Dart earlier in this thread when I was at Indy in 1984. And I still have it! It's in the paint shop right now! The shows were fun back then and they still are now!
I've got pictures of back then but it's taking me a long time to get them together. But I will get them posted up here......

Hello Kenny... I need to scan in & post pics from the 1980 (?) Amarillo meet... I believe you had an Aspen R/T (IIRC) there.

Hi Allen! Actually it was an Aspen Super Coupe. I sold it shortly after that. I actually found it again for sale in upstate New York a couple of years ago. I would've loved to have it back but as usual....no money.
I've got pictures of that meet too I will eventually put up. I'm just so slow at it....
