Several years ago I purchased a home made Audie flow bench. I used it for a couple of years but it only flowed at 10 inch of depression and would convert to 28 inches. I then purchased a JKM flow bench that would flow up to 400@28 inch depression. It worked great but very time consuming converting the manometers numbers to flow numbers and then calculating for weather factors. Last Winter I bought a set of plans off the www.flowbenchtech.com website and built my 3rd bench. If you want a fun project to work on check out Bruces website and check out other peoples projects. The plans cost 50.00 and tell you exactly what you will need. My bench will flow over 600@28 inches and is so consistent and easy to use its the only bench I would ever use again. I will try to post some pictures.

Great project and beautiful work. My brother ran the flow room for International Harvester for many years and he built is own flow bench from scratch. No digital stuff back then. He used an inclined monometer and 4 vacuum cleaner motors. He would flow anything I wanted - as long as I made the adaptor.

Thanks for the comments guys. I don't really enjoy working with wood for lack of the proper tools but this project was a lot of fun. After using other flow benches I knew exactly how I wanted this one set up. A lot of thanks go to the guys on the flow bench forum. Those guys are nuts about air flow. Check out their site sometime and look around. They started a new website with a new server but there is a link to it on the old site.

We made our own bench some years ago with 9 motors(1100w each), you can see the lights dim when you turn on full steam no electronics just manometers
