Yes sir....right now it's a toss-up between TTI & Dougs, I am looking into a custom set from a local guy, but need to do some thorough research on his work...

Any recommendations will always be appreciated

I really like the stance. Two smokestacks sticking out of the hood is going to look scary. I like it.

Rick, I hate to break it to ya, but that hood ain't gonna clear the air cleaners, not unless you slam down that hood, REALLY hard!!....

I thought you were going for the sleeper look, but hey, I totally dig the street freak look as well!

Are you planning to mini-tub it? With a 4 speed and a 408, them little back tires will be SCREAMIN' FOR MERCY!!

No Tubbing a set of 9" Drag Radials will have to do

Rickster

Then I suppose a full backhalf with 14x32's is out of the question.

That's a great look, just not what I'm going with, trying to stay more old-school..but don't want it sitting up in the air either...so I guess in the end it will be a mixture in keeping with not cutting the car up....hence the fiberglass hood

I like the idea of keeping the back seat....no roll bars

Tossing around picking these up for the fronts...15x4 Ansen's

and going with steelies in the back....what'ya think....?????????

What color paint are you thinking?

Not sure on the code yet, but the same color as the interior, I believe it's a medium or light blue metallic....need to find out, when I look at the paint chips online for 64 plymouth the light blue seems too light and the medium blue metallic seems too dark....

If you look at the color of vinyl seat trim in the above pic, it is very close to that

Looking good Rick. I just picked up a new toy to play with last week as well. Someday we will post up some pics.

I'm running the Doug's D-450 headers on my 360 powered Valiant and are very happy with them. I had originally ordered a pre-run set of TTI's back in the winter of 2005/2006 but canceled it and switched to Doug's once I found out TTI's headers required a custom starter that went for $300+ at the time (don't know the starter price now). The TTI's are bigger tube, but I'm only running 11.70's so I didn't need the bigger flow.

It's tight, but the Doug's fit perfectly.

i could be mistaken Rick
but i dont think either header will allow for clutch hardware/z-bars..
a friend was just showing me his 69 dart 4spd
he used a hydralic throwout bearing..
some kit thats out there...fwiw...

i suspect your going to need to modify the wheel house and strech the wheel opening...
i know on a baracuda the rear wells are tiney...
fwiw..
cheers
cheapst.

Not sure on the Doug's, but TTI has a (NEW)chassis exit set for 64-65's that is (supposed) to fit all steering types and 4-speed 10.5 bell-housing(with zbar)they are 1 5/8" stepped to 1 3/4" merged to 3" collector which would be perfect for my combo

They do require a RobbMc Performance Mini Starter part # 2005 $299.99 But I do hear they are a nice piece

They also offer a full 3" exhaust to the rear bumper that is sweet.....gonna have to save up some coins

Only going to run a 27"tire and it will fit without modification....actually from my measuring a 30" tire will fit, just limited on width with the stock spring and no minitub

This is going to sound crazy, but the motor mounts are home made. Just took the solid mounts that were on the engine when we got it off the wrecking pile and modified them to fit the cross member. The procedure went something like this:

Drank a couple beers. Bolted the mounts to the engine, lowered the engine into the bay, bolted up the transmission, and then set the engine where it "looked right". Drank another beer (or 2). Tack welded the mounts in place. Removed engine and tranny and built mounting ears to weld to the K-member for the mounts to hook to. Drank another beer and re-installed everything.

The oil pan is also home made. It's just the stock pan with the sump extended a couple inches for more capacity. Oil pick-up tube was extended to match.

It's nice having a mad-scientist/mechanic/machinist/paint & body man for a brother! Thanks 6bblFLASH.
