Bullet cams for me. Really took the time to go over my set up. Not to defend Comp, I have dealt with there tech line in the past and they always were helpful. It is the extra attention at bullet that worked for me.

bullet cams.
Tim is the man! (Well, at least in customer service) we'll see how his cam runs Friday night!
I called Comp, got tired of waiting on hold...called back the next day. Was told none of the shelf Mopar grinds I wanted were in stock. When I made a comment about that I was told "Your fault for not having a Chevy". Gimme a break.
Next called Racer Brown. Jim SEEMED like he was on the ball. Was going to grind the cam "next week" and send me an email to confirm shipping. The 2nd week I called and was told "early next week" which was the same answer I got for THREE MORE WEEKS.
Called Bullet on a Friday, was told my cam would be ground on Monday and should be out on Tuesday. Got a call from Tim on Tuesday saying it was on the way, with a tracking number. They didn't even ding my debit card until WEDNESDAY!
I like giving my money to vendors who (at least act like they) care and know the VALUE of customer SERVICE
Soooo.....what did you do with the Racer Brown Cam? Sorry to see you had a bad experience w/ Racer Brown. It only took 3 weeks for mine, and after experiencing the performance increase, I would have waited 6 months.
And by the way, Comp Cams tech line does apply vacuum to the aftmost mammary.
Yeah, it's got a smallblock.

Your better off dealing with an engine builder rather than a cam guy. IMO, they do a poor job of CAMMING an engine. They know more about the dynamic side of the cam and not as much about the ENGINE side. Next time try calling an experienced ENGINE BUILDER and deal with them.
Mike, I'm not knocking you for calling Comp..I agree you should get much better service than that...but when you do this everyday you get to know the in's and out's of companies. Try getting ANY service from MP! LOL!!

Did nothing with the RB cam...never got it. I gave up trying to get it.

I had a lot problems with the products, and will not use them again. Cam did not fit correctly in block was the first thing and it just went on from there.

Welllllllll................I tried Comp tech today and quit waiting after 25+ minutes. Since this kind of wait doesn't seem that unusual for them, shouldn't they be able to give you some indication of the estimated wait time or number of callers ahead of you OR SOMETHING?
I will try them one more time (Lord knows why) and if I am left on hold like that this time ........ well, you know.
Master, again and still
