Troy's T/A was always a So Cal car, basically one owner, with like 40K miles or something. He has like a thousand "before" carefully cleaned archeological type pics of his car.

And get a copy of Barry Washington's pictures from the ultra low mile Yellow T/A. Someone spray bombed the underside yellow on that car, but if you look close I hear it's very helpful.

I have no doubt that the primer is good, however why remove the factory dip and primers and expose virgin metal if you do not have to. I can see the primer going over the top of the original factory stuff if it does not clean up to ones satisfaction. In fact, that is probably what I am going to do with the Valentines day Panther Pink Challenger, except I am toying with the idea of using a UV cured primer.

I was once told that the AAR/TAs wear painted flat black/organisol on the underside above the mufflers. I have been told on here that that is wrong. I sure would like to have seen pics and have it documented, but I guess you said its gone now. Anyway common beliefis that the entire underside was gray primer with only body colored over spray as you would expect from halfass painting the rocker panels and engine compartment.
