What all have folks been doing with these ?
How ya think a set would be on this street motor : 408, 10 to 1 compression, hydraulic cam, RPM air gap intake . We'd put 2.02 intake valves in them and use factory rockers. The cam is like .243 / .257 @ .050 with only .507 / .494 lift. It will have a around a 3000 stall, in a light A-body with 4.30 gears. What do ya think of these heads on this combination, how ya think it will run and what kinda power do ya guess ?
We will dyno it to see...............

Great heads for the right application. I just did a 416 for a bud's bracket car that I fully expect to be in the mid 10's without much fuss. It is RHS (LA) headed, 12.2:1, solid 268/272@.050 cam, Victor intake, etc. We should have some timeslips next Friday night!
On to your point, I am doing a 408 for my Dart street/stripper with the intent of being in the mid-11's in TOTAL street trim. I'm going to use the EQ Magnum heads as I got them on the cheap! Interesting to note, they flowed BETTER than the RHS heads below .550 and very close to them above .550 lift!
I would imagine you're going to see 475-ish HP, with around 500 ft lbs pretty easy. Those 4.30's may result in lotsa rubber on the ground!
One thing if you already own the cam, but not the rockers yet: Being that those heads flow good numbers up to .600-.650 you want to take advantage of as much lift as is practical. V10 (truck) rockers are 1.7 and a DIRECT bolt on! Are your lifts stated at 1.5 or with the stock Mag rocker with 1.6's?
Get it built and get it on the pump! Please keep us posted...

Is that true for all Magnum style heads?

Just as a note: I set that engine up on the dyno a few weeks ago, ran the 950HP carb and electric water pump and got 500HP exactly! TQ was up to 526 I believe!! That's some TQ! Brian
Was that with the RPM Air Gap and smaller TTI headers?
Post up that 500hp dyno graph.

V10 rocker is a direct replacement for what?
A direct replacement for OEM Magnum rockers. Can be used on OEM heads, RHS (Magnum) or EQ's.
What about the Eddy magnum style aluminum heads?

No go, Pat. The V10 rockers will only work on heads that can use OEM rockers and bolts/trununs (sp?). The Eddy version of the Mag heads are designed to use a Chevy Rocker/Stud set up.

Just curious what each head flowed??

And a quick reminder that not ALL flow #'s directly translate into HP! Air speed, port csa, chamber, ex. port, and alot more have a "say" in what kind of HP a head can make. I'd bet both heads are very close in power production. And cost should be close as well. Isn't it nice to have more choices for the sb mopar?? !!

Sorry, my bad: The EQ's outflowed the RHS heads until .450" lift, not .550:
First column is the "as supplied" RHS heads with a 2.02 intake and the "as supplied" valve job.
Second column is the "as cast" EQ with a OEM Magnum 1.92 intake.
Third column is the EQ with a 2.02 robbed from the RHS and a 4 angle vj...but with NO seat blend, as we were in a hurry...
RHS EQ EQ 2.02 1.92 2.02 0.100 68.9 72.4 73.1 0.150 101.4 104.5 109.5 0.200 131.8 129.2 143.4 0.250 160.6 156.9 170.7 0.300 185.7 182.3 193.5 0.350 207.4 203.2 214.8 0.400 225.3 216.9 231.3 0.450 238.9 223.1 243.3 0.500 248.5 228.2 242.9 0.550 252.2 229.9 239.9 0.600 255.3 229.2 239.7
After unshrouding the chamber, a quick 2 minutes on each intake guide and a 4 angle vj, the RHS's eventually went:
.500 251 .550 258 .600 263
I bought the EQ heads on a whim as they were offered by a follow member here for $450 new in the box. I thought I'd have nothing to lose and we could see what they flowed for ourselves. I had just read an article in a Mopar Mag that said Barton's bench had posted some too-good-to-be-true numbers. I'm thinking now his numbers were COMPLETLEY believable. In hindsight, not a bad purchase!!

500HP at 5400rpm works out to about 108% VE! If you run the engine build through pipemax, you'll see we used every bit of flow the intake tract had to offer. Not bad for a budget build!! Brian
