just do one of your normal Randy burnouts, it brings the resin to the surface (on the first burnout) then just smoke them to clean and bring the temp up

After 5 runs, swap them side for side, keep track of tire pressure and number of runs before switching sides again, usually 8 - 10 passes after the first switch.

Hey Randy Did you notice if those Good Years were directional? The last few sets I have purchased didnt have a sticker on them to stagger the tires for installation etc.?

I agree with this Slingshot383
BUT BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN MOUNT THEM - PUT TYPICAL AIR PRESSURE IN AND MEASURE CIRCUMFERENCE.
Not yelling - just making an important point.
If the two slicks are not within 1/2" of each other at inflated diameter, take them back.
In addition, and only when slicks are new with no use: After mounting and setting running pressure, if one has a slightly larger circumference than the other, inflate to 20-30 psi then deflate and reset pressure. Measure again. This can stretch a new tire a little to better match the circumference. If it doesn't change, leave inflated (20-30 psi) for an hour, perhaps in the sun and retest.

..... then only one Randy burnout then back to just heating and cleaning.... about 20* to 25* above the track surface temp, no dry hops

Bob...I hope they're not directional! I better go take a good look to make sure!
Unless goodyear slicks have changed in the last couple years they are directional. The slicks serial numbers both point to the right side when installed. For me rotating the goodyears was a no no as my sixty,s would fall off once rotated and never come back even if put back to their original sides. I ran them for over fifteen years but i have ran the other brands to,for me they all worked pretty good. Good luck
Yes Goodyear recommends this mounting procedure......once mine are mounted up correctly I John Force the initial burnout then just haze the from then on.....rotated approx every 10 runs with zero loss in performance (1.13 60')
