Thankyou,
I apologize for not returning to this post earlier.
I have returned to a stroker 340 motor build I started years ago and don't even have a car to put it in yet !!!
Anyone can still reach me at the same email or thru here, But my number changed now.

Finally stepped up to a smart phone!
The Orange GSS is running under it's own power now again and we hope to go to either Orlando Speedworld or Gainsville soon, to see what it will do.
I will post a video of it when we get a few passes with it..
It does not have license plates on it so we have to be carefull sneaking it around the airpark...
We feel that it should be in the high 11's with any luck, BUT.... My wife wants to race the big block dart (her car) first...
The orange gss is an Automatic car (727) and so it does not make it so hard on the SN60 like my blue gss 4 speed.
I just am doing it to see what I can get it to (et and speed) with a race setup instead of the stock gss SN60 supercharger like my Blue demon gss has.
I have been taking turns working on three different demon 340's and only can do a little at a time until I get more shop space.
I am looking to purchase an enclosed trailer to haul the car instead of my open car hauler we have if anyone here in the florida area has one for sale, Please let me know.
I can't afford a new enclosed trailer and feel I should be able to find a used one thats in good shape..
I hope.
Thanks again for the nice comments about my blue demon gss, I should have kept the other blue one in hindsight now, Oh well. Bill gives it a a very good home too.

Now I was told they didnt run a very high Presure as it would crush the floats in the carb.

Nitrophyl floats solved that problem.

Sorry I did not get back to this site sooner!
Anyways, I looked at my carb very well and it looks to me that even though it is the correct carb, I feel that they must have just cut that arm you mention off ..
It is a clean and smooth cut if that is how they did it?
I have several spare thermoquads for both 72' 340 manual and also the auto trans, And they all have the arm that you speak of...

So I think they cut it off !
Just FYI.

Hey Thanks Grant. I always wondered about that. I have a twin to your car. It was sold at Grand Spaulding but isn't a blower car that I can tell. It will be though, pass me the cutting torch.
