Any recommendations for power windows (aftermarket OK) for '70 Cuda fronts?

I got mine for my belvedere from a1electric(link above) Installed with ease and seem to work fine so far. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link. Was it a pretty much bolt in deal or was there alot of modifications to make it work? Did you use any of your door guts or are they all replaced with the kit?

Mine pretty much bolted right in, but you have to drill a hole in the doors and the door jamb for the wiring. I wish I went with the contacts they sell. GM switches. Not a bad setup, a little pricey though. My backs are still manual though, didn't see the point because nobody sits back there.

I have http://www.electric-life.com/ in my '98 Ram. Its their scissor type which is a basic stock replacement. Bolted in with no mods other than the switches (which you have to buy in a separate kit unfortunately ) They claim the scissor type is the smoothest and mine are smooth as silk I want them for my Challenger. I'm very happy with the results in my Ram

Glad you guys had success with the A1 kit. I tried it on my Challenger and it was very disappointing. Went back to manual.

Read through this, once people are pressed they admit the A1 stuff isn't the greatest.

When I tried them, they went down so fast it broke the rubber bump stop. and it struggled to raise. It was not an adjustment issue, as I did all the testing without the door panels on and the door open. Luckily I didn't cut my panels before trying them.

That is disappointing to hear. I just looked at the A1 link and they say its made by electric life I'm so happy with the ones in my truck I figure they'd work as good in my car....Perhaps a geometry design flaw for the e-bodies

I used a generic spal kit in my 87 daytona and a knock off of a spal kit in my brother's 83 rampage. Both work perfect. And I must say, the windows on my 87 daytona were harder to hand crank than those in any old mopar I've ever owned and the spal kit does the job just fine. Only downside is the cap you have to put over where your manual cranks would normally go.
