i have a chance to buy a used indy lowdeck intake at a good price that has the dominator flange. i have been told there is a power loss using it versus the standard 4150 flange with adapter. has anyone done this swap before to know for sure? i was told there is a tenth difference at the track. i am building a 500 inch roller motor for track only. thanks for any input.

The low deck Dominator flange his some minor drawbacks that can easily be rectified. The runner dividers need to be cut back and a 2" riser added and it will work quite well. The 4150 flanged manifold works well with a 2"4500 adapter and usually shows about a 10 to 15 hp gain on a dyno.Modifying the Dominator flange manifold will gain you the same if not more.

The spacer versus the adapter makes the phenlum volume almost the same on both set ups, not using the spacer makes the 4500 intake not make as much power as the 4150 intake with the 4500 adapter due to less phenlum volume
