you have an identical installatio as mine other than the 3/8" hard line - I have some 1/2"- and mine works great. don't know what else to tell ya.

Liquid filled gauge? I just had a brand new Liquid filled gauge that would do that. Thought I still had supply issue until I watched it run for 20 mins at zero fuel pressure. Changed to regular gauge and I have rock steady 8 lbs. I think the heat makes the liquid expand and screws up the gauge.

it does it with the guage in the pictures and also a non liquid filled sport comp. It eventually does completely run out of fuel once it does this. I have already had the mfg rebuild the pump once being only a few months old as it did this before hence me completely changing the setup. I will eliminate the hardline and go with -8 to the front as well. I have also checked voltage to the pump and that isn't an issue either. Something is keeping it from getting fuel or it has to be cavitating or vapor lock somewhere I guess.

I know w/my holley billet 150 pump that I enlarget the breather in my cell and it definately helped. I`ve read that the bigger pumps want at least a #8 for the vent and you`re runnin a modified stock gas tank..............

I had thought about that too and have even driven around without a gas cap on it and the same issue exists. That was my first thought when this all started happening was that I was creating a vacuum but with the vent and the vented gas cap it must have enough. Strangely enough when it did it one time and lost the prime i covered the open fill tube and it actually primed. Strange..

Smart........that`s how I knew I needed more venting.....running it w/out the gas cap.

That's why I am completely out of ideas. Things left would be to get rid of the hardline completely and just go to a new -8 line and maybe even a aeromotive reg. I have noticed that the pump will drive through the reg sometimes. The other day when first starting up i just ran the pump without the engine running and it went to 13 psi and the reg is at 7 psi. Also thought that the reg that close to the VC and intake may be where the fuel is vapor locking possibly?

Mine`s mostly 1/2 alum line other than a couple of rubber pieces where I sectioned it for ease of installement although I noticed a few bends and turns in on your install. I mounted my reg on the inner pass fender and my feed and return lines run inside the inner fender to help keep the fuel cool. Maybe if you ran a return line it could/would help w/vapor lock if that` even the problem. You did say you had to send the pump back for a repair so who knows there also.

That looks like neopreme hose, if so check for a flapper inside the hose, sometimes the fittings will dig out a piece of the inside of the hose so it acts like a flapper valve blocking the inside of the line. Remove the hose so you can see inside the fittings with a strong, bright light and see if you can see one, also try taking a real thin ice pick or thin knitting needles to push inside the fitting and slide it into the hose on all four sides to see if the needle or probe pushes the flapper out I'm facing a intermittent fuel leak in my system now, I'm thinking it is the nepreme bypass hose from the pump to the tank leaking after it runs a while and gets some warm fuel ran thru it. I hope to find it tomorrow, I'm going to put it on four jackstands and run it for 5 or 6 minutes to see if it will start leaking again
