I hate thieves....They pushed my quad out of the yard this past winter....I felt like they raped me, and my kids really enjoyed a ride to the nearest creek. If I was to catch them at this or any other act, they would be digging lead out of there butts from a Springfield XD .40 Luckly Homeowners covered it....but its still not the same.

A friend had a quad stolen. He put a padlock in each wheel through cross drilled rotors. 4 sets of footprints could be seen where they picked it up and carried it...
I want my fair share

Always bad to hear about scum taking advantage of people who work for a living. For what it's worth, a deterrent at least, I've seen some remote magnetic switch alarms at Home Depot. They are similar to regular door and window switches for the home, but use batteries, have a remote control and a 90+ db alarm. I believe that 2 or more can be programmed/activated by the same remote controller. But you have to use the same one to turn them off. Not sure if it was true, but a while back, I heard about someone rigging their shop with tear gas/pepper spray! Not good if there's an "oops", however.

That sucks to no end, no they should not be shot, they should have a hand cut off then everyone would know whats up. As cheesy as it may sound on top of the net vid cameras Ive got I got 4 of those stupid 9v presonal alarms they used to sell (the pull the pin types) way up in the ceiling out of reach and use fish line and screw in eyelets and fish line for trip wires....they are super loud and would bring alot of attention if tripped..... Maybe cheesy but it work on an enclosed trailer as well..... Its sad you cant shoot a thief stealing your stuff because your not in direct danger, but I swear I heard the guy say "Ive got a gun" and I just kept pulling the trigger ....I was "afraid" officer

Sorry to hear about your loss.
My house was hit a week ago, we had locked up, set the alarm and left for the airport to fly to Portland for a funeral. As we walked to the rental car counter my wife's cell went off and it was the alarm company telling her the alarm had gone off. Wife said we are 1000 miles away call the police. The police came climbed over my 6 ft locked gate and found both of the back yard sliders into the house open. The alarm scared them away.
Now we have a new alarm system (all doors/ windows)and a couple more dead bolts, etc.
My wife's girl frinds house also got hit (other side of town) no alarm and they took a flat screen tv and some other stuff.

My trailer got hit a couple of years ago at a Storage Place. Crack heads cut the fence and jacked several units all at once. They got my generator and a bunch of other stuff. They tried to get my 4 wheeler but it wouldn't fit through the door so they took the key. Thankfully they didn't touch the racecar. I think my cars have been hit 4 or 5 times over the years. The police could care less they won't even do a report in person. My brother's car was stolen last week a few blocks away then found stripped a few days later. I installed those big round circular locks so there isn't anything to cut now. Of course if they want it bad enough they'd probably cut the doors off. Sorry about the trouble - I think losing your sense of security is the worst part.

Wow, sorry to hear, thieves are the of cowardly scumbags. Home alarms monitored by the alarm company are great, do they sell something similar for a trailer?
I'd imagine somebody does. If Onstar can do it for a car, It can be done for a trailer. I'm sure a alarm system can be interfaced with a cell phone to do that.
