Anyone know if a pg will be longer or shorter compared to a stock chevy pg when you have a mopar Ultra Bell bolted to a pg ?

I could measure, but would be happy if I got the specific change already.

working on a midplate for my new chassi.

Hi Fred !

Thanks, that was exactly wath I was hoping for.
Jerry Haas had a 1/4" thick alum. midplate in there, I was thinking a 3mm SS steel plate, as my converter is built for that.
I am going out for a party now, but will pm you about the thickness tomorrow.

/Tom

I use the ATI 1/2 inch adapter plate with an ultra bell. I wish to respectfully disagree with using the plate as a limiter. My plate cracked very dramatically from the shearing force of fore/aft movement. I was able to repair it,and have had no more issues once I installed limiters.

RIP

I wonīt have any threads in the plate, as the ultrabell is made for Mopar BB, I got the pg to mopar bell.

Some pics from the hopefully last paper template( this is number 4).

Hereīs the midplate that came with the car for chevy

Well, the bell needs to have the ear at the starter massaged maybe an 1/2" or so to fit there.
I know the bell is SFI, but I canīt see myself cutting and welding in this chassi, if I have other options. The Sfi rating is soon outdated, and I will not send it back to JW. Nothing is ever simpel.

Two limiters, which I will keep for future chevy owners and make new ones for mopar bellhousing placement.
