Hey Guys,

Are the backing plates the same on the 8.75 and Dana 60? My Dana is a 68-69 4.10 power lock factory axle (not sure of the brake size, haven't measured it yet!), and my 8.75 is a 3.23 open with 11" brakes. I'd like to just unbolt the whole assemblies and swap them over to the Dana while I'm replacing seals and such. Can that be done or are the Dana and 8.75 backing plates not the same? Thanks for the help!

Cheers

Yep, same housing ends if the Dana is out of a Mopar. But the Dana should already have 11" brakes.

Perfect That's what I wanted to know. The Dana is out of a 68 Road Runner, but I think the brakes may have been used elsewhere. They don't look like 11" ones to me. Dana has green bearings installed too, so that leads me to believe the brakes may have flown the coop when the axles were out Thanks again!

Cheers
