well if most remm. i had a post a while back about setting my pinion angle and i did and now i have came up with a new problem....when i use to drive the car down the road and stop and bring it up on the verta it would hit the tire then just burn them up til i got of the go pedal....now i have set my angle to where i thought it would work i have a problem with the carb...when i bring it up on the verta now it will stumbal off the line..( i know that the pinion angle is working cause now it lifts and wrinkle the tire in the road) so being that its hot and all should i jet down and where should i start???right now i have it jetted at 82/fr 6.5 pv and 88/bk and no pv so someone point me in the right way....
Is it moving before it stumbles... if so try jet extensions on the rears

You would need to see if its blowing black on the stumble... if so jet down... if it isnt I would jet up... but normally in the heat you need to get down

yes i had a + reading at first then cut everything out lower the car in the back with the front hangers and went - and whooooooooa this thing is night and day....like i said at first i could take the car down the road and leave it would burn the tire a good 20' and now nothing else but the angle and lower and i try to leave and the car lefts and bogg and when i got home i checked the slicks wrincles all around both and never had that even at the track...now it jumps just like a frog so i do think i will have some better 60' and et once i get the new found bogg out of it... it woyuld 60' i the 1.66 range with ss springs

Check the accelerator pump arm adjuster settings,(both if it is a double pumper) hold the throttle at wide open and adjust the screw so you can barely get a .015 feeler gauge in between the pump arm and the adjuster bolt head In other words it(the pump arm and accelerator pump diaghramm) should have a of maximum .015 more travel at WOT

hay cab i checked the carb (gap) and it dont have any gap at all..i shoot some carb cleaner through the air bleeds and it help it out alot as far as crisp just havent had the time fro a drive down the road yet i wish it had the air bleeds that i could change but it is what it is, and right now theres no cash for a new main body...i also want to ask you guys about a vac. gauge...i have 1 and plan to hook it up and check things over but have never done it and the inst. is for a stock type motor i guess only tells you if it reads this is bad if it reads that adjust this type of info....im not sure but want the cam lift and things like that make it a little diff. from just the normal????so how do i go about reading the gauge?????to set the carb upa little better....and noe the carb has 31 shooters and was told to try some 37. oh and it has the pink cam init fr/bk in the #1 hole not sure if thats what it should be
