X2...I see you have the dash / windshield thing squared away. Its been some time since I had my convertibles back seat out but I think you need the seats out to install the rear side panels.

Thats cool about the back seat. It went in pretty easy.

I still have to paint the rear panels. I have the original white ones but after cleaning, its apparent that they need to be sprayed. Should they be white or off white???

Also, the wiring harness I have had lights going to each of those panels. Do they get lit on a convertible?

I don't see where????

I got to spend today on the car too. I installed the kickpanels, sill plates and steering column.

I have a new wheel that will go on, but I didn't get a chance to get to that today.

I don't remember the wiring, but I drove mine for two years when I first bought it, and the lights worked back there...

The rear panles do have lights...they should be small rectangular holes that the light shoots from, on the back side there should be a pocket to hold the bulb housing.

I don't see much left to do. Those white seats look amazing. I really like white interiors on Go MANGO cars. What's next?

Hi Joe,
I'm going to overhaul the front and rear brakes, black out the front and install the grill. Then front lighting wiring harness and lights.

I need to get the trim and window stuff back from the chromer and then have the top put on.

I also have a small punch list of things to finish. I need to helicoil one trans to bell bolt. stuff like that. I've been using the final assembly list and I'm about 90% done.

I see you posted an update on your thread. Looking real good!!!!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think all 'Runner 'verts got that lighting... It may have been part of a light package that was standard on RM23 cars... Is there a map light or trunk light? Your car looks sweet... I miss my '69

All convertibles got the rear lights. I picked up a similar car to yours, k2 with black guts and top. 383 4 speed car, but has a new 440 6 barrel in it.....And a its a 70 runner convert. I will be finishing it and putting it on the market.

Tom, The car has a great color combination. The engine compartment looks fantastic. I enjoy following your post, your work is first class. Keep the photos coming.

Thanks for all the great comments Guys!

I'm taking advantage of the first warm weather in awhile. I painted the black out and got the hood on!
