Background. Car runs great no issues at all. BUT, steering gearbox was leaking badly, so I replaced it with new unit. I had to remove plug wires, headers, steering column to get it out. I put everything back, went to start it and pop pop pop. #5 and 7 plug wires were switched. I changed them back. Went to start again and it will stay running as long as I keep the key in start position and my foot on the gas. Let the key off and it dies. Any ideas?

Thanks, I thought it might be the bulkhead connector. May have happened when I removed the column? Could having the 5 and 7 plug switched cause it?

4 pin ballast? (1) pulloff both connectors and ohm it. a high mileage one I had measured 1.6 and 6 ohms. (2) see if the end connector w the blue loop gets fire w key in run (ign1) and that the brown wire on the other end gets fire w a helper holding the key to "start" (ign2).
