Mike, I feel for you on your health issues, my prayers are with you. My shoulder is getting better but my driving ain't I'm 65 now,(retired since 52 yrs old after the company I work for got bought out ) three time cancer survivor I'm sure you will be a survivor also As far as drag racing and fun why do it if it ain't fun anymore I take my Duster out as many times as I feel like it each year , I still like the hit on the line and I occasionally win a round or two, I to have thought about putting a younger driver in the car and coaching, mentoring them. I have a 17 yr old grandson that may fill the bill, if he gets his grades up enough Only you are in charge of what you do, d what is best for you and yours. I'm getting closer on having my hot rod (1940 Ford 2dr. sedan)done and have two other cars that I want to do, bring back from half junk to decent running and looking, just need more money and tme A guy needs a reason to get up in the morning and it might as well be doing something you like and I like working on cars and motors I hope yours is to I will take you up on the exhaust advice as soon as I get the 527 back together and redynoed

Yeah Cab I would like to finish up my 38 Ply and I
also want to do my TT Rampage(or it might be a blower
I have both set ups).... I can still race at the local
2 tracks(outlaw tracks) but dont think I will be all
that competitive (no big deal to me.... well thats not
true)

Head down to the your local track and find the mopar guys and find someone to hang out with and ask them to drive the car....Lots of summit guys out there to get into something.. Sounds fun to me.....

Your a great mentor Mr.P and whatever you decide will work out,you are a store house of info so don`t jump to no decisions and it will all work out.Put out some feelers for drivers and go from there.Who knows,a couple years from now you may be glad you kept it or regret you didn`t.....I dislike them there regrets.

Go back to the street, it's usually a lot more seat time and a heck of a lot safer in your case!

In the end, do what makes you happy! None of us are getting any younger, so make yourself happy and have as much fun as you can.

Mr P, you have a great wealth of racing knowledge and all I can say is you will make someone's dream come true. I know for myself I would have loved nothing better than for a pro like you take me under his wing and show me how things are done in the racing scene. I had nobody around to even really help me get into cars at all. I guarantee you there's someone of good character in your area who would absoloutely love the opportunity.
