Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't! Now out with the trans and put in another vert! Kenny took me from 10.50's to 10.30's when I bought one from him for my old duster!

Definitely not working correctly in that combo. Did you double check the trans fluid level, stall check, etc? You should be able to make a tight 8" do the job. But a 9" can be made to do it too.

Also got to figure out an elevtrical glitch on the 72 or I'm pushing it back int the trailer here's the 1/8 mile times first pass was 6.60@103.74 second, 6.7@101.90. third 6.66@102.63 Jim, tires are 31's and the gear a 4:56. I just hope the wind dies down toady. Yesterday it was terrible. Hard cross wind

I've never had any faith in them as I've never seen one close to real word. I was hoping for high 9.80's low 9.90's myself.

You might loose a litte 60 ft with a tighter converter But it should be pulling a lot harder on the top end. Good luck today!
