I have a 8 3/4 that needs all the brakes and I have a 8 1/4 and 9 1/4 that are complete. Can I swap the brakes fron either to the 8 3/4? Thanks

only if you have BBP axles in the A body 8&3/4 which were cut down to the regular BBP brake offset distance when they were machined (which most are so as to use std 10" BBP brakes which the 8&1/4/9&1/4 would have).

ALL 8.25 and most 9.25 backing plates/Brake assemblies will interchange, assuming they are passenger car axles. The light duty 3/4 ton truck 9.25 had 8 lug rims with totally different backing plates and drums. ALSO, consider post 73 A body cars with disc brakes. Even the 7.25 axle cars used the same backing plates as the 8.25 and 9.25 axle.

For some reason I got to thinking you were referring to an A body 8&3/4. My bad
