I have an Eddy headed 440 with reproduction Direct Connection valve covers and I'm having issues with Felpro gaskets sealing it up. I've tried 3 different Felpro style gaskets, cork, rubber and extreme duty and they all leak. I think the problem is how the valve covers are made?
Anyway just wondering if there's a gasket out there that'll work for me?
Otherwise I'm going to glue the gasket to the valve cover and silicone up the other side and call it good.

Its likely your valve covers are leaking, try and get a set of the old orange mp gaskets ive always had good luck with them.

The valve cover gaskets to valve cover interface can move around and the gasket falls off the edge of the head, twists under the cover and you get leaks. I use my fingers to feel the gasket overhang on the top and bottom. I try to center everything before cinching down the bolts. And as always, don't over tighten the bolts. They need inch pounds rather than foot lbs.

You didn't say what intake manifold you are running, but some aftermarket ones can interfere with the top edge of the valve covers. This will cause the top edge not to set down and seal.

If you are aftermarket, you may need some clearancing.

yup..you cannot beat the orange rubber mopar gaskets. the set on my 440 have been reused since 1990 on different motors and they still seal like new.

I had stamped steel covers and they had to go. Always leaked from use with a solid cam. Went with cast alum and the Moroso metal frame blue rubber gaskets. A lil pricey but no leaks. I also studded the valve cover bolt holes and all lays on top nicely before cover is placed a top the head. Yes its INCH lbs torque ... snug it up and try it.
