Bob, I used Hylomar on my copper head gaskets and have had no leaks. You can get it just about anywhere too. Good luck.
i have had zero leak issues with Hylomar...NA, 13.5 comp, o-ringed (block only), SCE gaskets

So to 'aneal' my copper gaskets I need to get it glowing hot with a torch and dip it in water or spray it with water. How long should I wait to install it after that?

Well after examining my head gaskets it appears that I did a terrible job of getting the silicone in the right spots and literally missed half the hole in a few places. I also didn't scotch brite the gaskets to help the silicone stick to it. SCE has some copper head gaskets that are .032 thick so I think I'm gonna try those. My pistons are .016 in the hole and last years Summit copper gaskets were .043 thick so quench was .059. So with the 32's I'll be at a better .048. I'm headed to Superformance right now to pick up some oil pan gaskets and show Greg my Summit copper gaskets.

I will do that Dave. And thanks for the photo Mike, that really helped me to see what I did wrong with mine. Now I have to decide what sealer to use as you guys have given several great ideas. I was leaning towards the one that 'Instigator' posted but RoadHazard and a couple others have told me that Hylomar or spray hylomar is the way to go, then there's also this Yamabond.
