I forgot I had this...
This partial buildsheet was with my 70 RR convert when I tore it down:

SN= My RR: C220865 This Satellite: C220754
VON= My RR: 924 044090 This Satellite: 925 947277(?)
Car= My RR: RM27 This Satellite: R......

I assume Satellite because it's a 383-2V/727auto/2.76 gear

So, why is my RR Sequence Number higher/later(?) but my build date is 1 day earlier? Why was a 1 day later BS in my car? Does it make sense that this Satellite was a convert like mine? Why couldn't it be torn so I could see the VIN? How lucky was I that I got a complete BS but this one was torn (and assumed missing in the real car)? how good was St. Louis in 1970 for including the BS? What the heck is this Graemlin for ?

The date is NOT the build date. It could be, but there is no way to know. It is the Scheduled Production Date - the date they HOPED to built the car when the order first entered the system.

Due to various reasons, the cars were not built in order by VIN.

The sheet you found has a B SN prefix. I see a 0 in the VON, not a 9?

I study 1970 Hamtramck cars / broadcast sheets for the most part, but cars from that plant were occasionaly built one after the other with a 15,000 spread between VIN numbers with no regard to the SPD at all.

As far as broadcast sheets ending up in the wrong cars goes.....

Once the trim shop had the seats built in the right color with the right pattern, that seat was delivered to the main line. The person there just grabbed the closest seat that matched what he needed & installed it, so the sheets in the seats do not always match.

Yep, could be a 0 instead of 9. What is the significance of 0? What is the significance of B?

I always assumed the BS was just shoved under the seat when it was no longer needed (back seat last?).

"...so the sheets in the seats do not always match" What IS last and who shoves the BS under the seat?

Not "my" plant, Hamtramck did things differently at times, that said....

The B & C could be different printer stations.

0 is a zero, nothing special.

Broadcast sheets were the first thing applied to the rear seat frames, then burlap & foam, then they could flip it over to see what type of car & upolstery needed to be installed. Once that subassembly was done, that broadcast sheets intended purpose had ben fulfilled. No one cared what car the sheet actually went into .
