Barnstorm has a very good point, the MPH change is probably relative to the aerodynamics of the car...

From 101-102 in the 1/8th to 125-126 in the 1/4... figure a 24+ MPH delta.

one would think frontal area would play a big role?? and now that I look at it I guess it does.

69 Dart aerodynamic as a brick 132mph to 163mph = 31mph gain

4link dragster 149mph to 182mph = 33mph gain

2002 Firebird 140mph to 177mph = 37mph gain

113mph @ the 1/8th 139mph @ the 1/4. i'm guessing my carb is probably too small.

I've made a pass in hi gear[haven't we all] and recall the 1/8 and 1/4 mph were similar to a normal run...just takes longer.

93 in the 1/8 and 116 in the 1/4. Thats about 23 mph. Ron

im at 105 in the 1/8th and 130 at the stripe so 25 mph

94 and 116 in the truck...22mph
82 and 102 in the minivan...20mph

both are reasonably aerodynamically challenged.
