After gapping rings I installed pistons and rods, degreed the cam, put the timing cover and water pump on, bolted the windage tray on, along with the oil pump and pickup...

Then I had to make an oil pan...which was a long and grueling process not really worth my time. But, like many out there right now, I have more time than money. Started with this. Was actually very grungy and full of sludge but that's pretty typical I guess.

Upon grinding welds down and making it "pretty" it still leaked everywhere and I was unhappy so it sat for a while and the sump was cut off again and a hand made piece was formed...

Then I cleaned my cylinder deck for the last time, put new dowel pins in, put some head gaskets on, and installed my heads with some head studs...

After taking the rockers back on I put the remaining studs in and torqued them down, then checked for pushrod length...
