I think the fuel pressure has to rise as the demand for fuel rises.Something like 11 PSI or something.

That would be pretty hard to do... it cant see a pressure
to increase the reg pressure(like a turbo reg)... but
what do I know

a pair might end up on my junk, going to wait a while to see how WJ makes out with them compared to the PS stuff he runs.

Without searching for the info on my part, what is the real benefit and ideal application for a carb like this?

Suitable for street/strip type stuff?

Race only?

Is full throttle operation the main benefit?

Just got mine.

We are going to dyno it as soon as the shop has an opening.

Our 417 W-8 made 861@8200 w/a 4150......1.590 hole/1.750 blade. It is a nitrous style build.

420 intake w/4150 to 4500 adapter for the SV-1. I'll post when the results are in.

Not just a race carb.

Tip in and part throttle are supposed to be outstanding.

We'll see.

Just curious if you could make a pull with and without
the adapter since I guess it can be bolted up to
a 4150 or 4500 manifold... I'm curious if the 420
needs the plenum volume of the adapter... I have
the 420 but I machined it to take a 4500 without
the adapter.... thanks (if you can)

We need the adapter. our 420 is a 4150 top and the SV-1 blade will not clear. We didn't go with the 95 blade. Pro Systems sell an SV-1 that will clear though.

It looks like a cross between a Ron's toilet and a C&S areosol billet carb.

First thing that came to my mind was if you could modify a belt drive fuel pump.

That would definately give you more with RPM.

I seen some threads on some other forums about the problems and you have to run the regulator they recommend for the carb..

I might be pessimistic but the whole deal with the one HUGE butterfly and no boosters makes me wander how it will be in transition to WOT.

Just like a toilet....FLUSH! WOOOOSH!

lol

They sell for $1150 each + extras I was just reading on YB that the PRO SYSTEMS fuel regulator is needed with this carb http://yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=203896&highlight=pro+systems+carbs&page=6

I just don't see the point anymore these days, you could have a nice mega-squirt setup and make the same power with much better manners for the same price (maybe less)...

So he's saying you don't need it??? I emailed him about a normal 4150 E85 carb telling him I'd make 600 HP N/A and hit it with 150-200 of N2O from time to time and he recommended the regulator. He said I'd be borderline needing it/not needing it.

probably about $7-800 depending on a bunch of stuff... Stick whatever throttle bodies you want for whatever air flow and you're set...

Not sure on the price but Ron's Terminator TBs can be set up with TPS for EFI no problem. They are available in AFs up to 2100 CFM. Seems to me that a 4 hole TB with EFI would be the way to go.

I'd vote with the Coke Bottle Kid on this one.

TerminatorTBs for EFI
