I have a 472 Hemi with a solid roller that is a street car. It does not sound agressive enough for my taste. It is a Comp Cams with specs: lift .616 int .577 ex. 285 duration at .015 lift 110 lobe seperation
I have an old Lunati roller left over from my racing days that I am toying with installing based on input from you guys. It has specs: lift .600 int .602 ex. .320 duration at .015 lift 106 lobe seperation
I know the bigger duration will give it a more aggresive sound but what is the effect of lobe seperation on a cam's function.
Thnks in advance for educating me.

Never mind guys. I should have done some checking elsewhere. The Comp Cams website has all of the info I was looking for.

gets sound, but sacrifice vacuum, for brake booster, also get more rough iddle. Of course gets also a great boost at High RPMs ( that's why I have read )

actually a narrow lobe separation maximizes mid-range torque and drops off faster in the upper RPM range. a wider lobe separation will flatten out the torque curve, and sacrafice a little in the midrange, but carry the torque higher in the rev range, making more upper RPM power for a given duration.
