I guess most Holley carbs are supposed to be a little on the rich side, but boy, my eyes sure burn when I first start ole girl up I don't need to try and lean it out any?

DP holly's are not the most cold start friendly carbs out there.

Go for a good drive then pull a few plugs... to me that would be the real concern - how it's running while driving. Mine runs a little rich when parked but after a night of cruising my plugs are brown (slightly rich) which to me is far better than running lean all the time.

Okay I've checked the plugs and they all are dark black. There is a hint of brown around the outermost edges of the plugs, however most of the plug on the flat edge in the gap area are mostly dark black. Still too rich?
