This is my Challenger Saga. I am determined to finish it as a restomod with a Hemi if practicable. I have had the car for 23 years and started the restoration about 3 years ago. I am posting it to provide continued incentive to finish it.

Only one pic?

You have to have more than that. Let's see them.

Sorry, I had to run after I posted the last picture.

This car is a rust bucket. I thought it was in better condition when I started it but now I am knee deep in it.

I replaced the trunk and installed rear frame caps and the drivers quarter panel. i had to replace some of the rocker panel below the rear window.

This is the other side from inside. You can see another patch job by the previous owner. They just floated it over the other panel.

Here is more incentive. That car can be a genuine gem. Mine was not that far gone when I started. Putting it on here is keeping me going on restoring it as well. I have owned mine as long as you have but was still driving it when I started. As a matter of fact, my restoration started when I could not get anyone to align it in the condition it was in.
72 was really the last of the great E's. Mine is just an ingrate E after the Arab oil boycott killed the muscle car.

Check out the other projects in this forum and you will get plenty of incentive to keep going. Don't quit and stay off the couch and throw the idiot box in the garbage.

While this might seem like a never ending disaster, your car is not as bad as some that I have fixed. Yes, I usually do the worst of the worst, but your car, though it is bad, it is NOT the worst.

Keep plugging away at it, taking on small sections. Don't get in too deep and don't try to do everything at once.

Patience is a virtue and it takes a lot of patience, but it CAN be done.

Let me know if you need any advice.

Thanks guys, I am going to start again this weekend as the snow has finally melted and given me a chance to wheel it in the garage.

Here is a picture of the trunk gutter I finally scrapped by buying new ones. I also scrapped the filler panel to the deck lid because of the rust.

This is how far I got before I found out they made a replacement trunk gutter rail and filler panel.

I too love the '72 drop mouth grille and tail lights and the tucked in bumpers as compared to the other more collectable years. This car has long since lost its' 340 and a 440 was in its' place so I am not worried about correct equipment or the authenticity of the car.

Believe it or not I have had offers to buy the car even in its current condition.

This is what was in front of my car for about three weeks. Now it is gone and I will be pulling it in the shop to get started again this weekend. The car is under the blue tarp on the right.

I am not sure yet because it really looked good in black. The blue made people call it the smurfmobile.
